In addition to my other interests, I am an incurable packrat, a trait which
has served me well in my self-appointed role of cultural
anthropologist. However, I am not the usual academic type of
scientist taking dry notes in dry journals. Instead I go about the
really important work of digging through the inane detritus of our society.
The real clues to the stupidity and splendor of mankind can
only be found in dumpsters, smelly thrift stores, countless attics,
basements, roadside castoffs and garbage left by the curb. The only meaningful social
commentary comes from the self-interests of sometimes inept, often untutored artisans and
always greedy capitalists.
What you threw out yesterday as unwanted is presented here
for your neighbor's appraisal. What you wasted your money on last
night for entertainment is replayed here for your mother's critical
analysis. Will they laugh or cry?
The content of cultural artifacts is divided into the
following categories: PRINT MEDIA, VIDEO and CINEMATOGRAPHY,
DECORATIVE
and COMMERCIAL. In the print media examples both front and
back of the jacket are shown side by side in most cases. Just scroll down and drink in the visual
feast..........
